Flood forecasting system is a system designed to forecast flood levels before they occur.

Methodology

Flood forecasting systems and warning can contain:

  • gauging stations
  • flood action plans
  • services like hot line, sms, warnings in TV

 

In case of flood hazards, the responsibility of flood warning is split among:

  • the fire brigade,
  • the storm water utilities and
  • the boroughs
